Name: Ese Oghenejobo
Degree Program: Master's in Public Health
Graduating: 2009
Employment: I am currently employed at the Philadelphia Youth Network.
Why I chose USP
The University of the Sciences had a great reputation from several people that I talked to. I wanted to pursue a career in public health, and I felt this new program would give me a chance to have a lot of help with pursuing my degree. Also, Robert Field really impressed me with his personality and committment to the success of the students. He has not failed in that regard.
What I like best about my program
I think the subject matter of the program is very interesting, and the teachers have been really helpful with the students.
Current research interests
I am currently working on the Mark Beer's project, which focuses on the efficacy of medication in the geriatric population. This has been an interesting project because it has given me exposure in geriatric populations, an area in which I had never really had experience. The project has also helped to expand my research skills.
How this program will help me professionally
I believe that my degree will provide me with exceptional skills and a knowledge base to work in the field of public health and in the future pursuit of my career as a physician and public health official.
Other things I want people to know about USP
I think the graduate program has already helped to expand my skill level in various capacities, and is helping me to become not only a successful leader, but an effective one as well.
