Chemistry Program Overview

Chemistry is often described as the central science, since so many other areas of science depend on it. This is one of the reasons for the excellent demand, not only in chemical, but also in pharmaceutical and many other types of industries (e.g. food preparation and safety, plastics, glass, cosmetics, natural gas and petroleum, etc.) for those with advanced degrees in chemistry.

Our curriculum will ground you in the fundamentals of chemistry, after which you will pursue intense exploration of the theory and techniques of your area of specialization.

USP offers both master's and doctoral degrees in chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmacognosy. The program allows you to specialize in analytical, inorganic, organic, computational or physical chemistry.

Designed for both the traditional and the non-traditional student, courses are offered in the late afternoon or evening hours, on a part-time or full-time basis.

The curriculum offers the option of a master's non-thesis degree program, master's thesis degree program, or doctoral program.

Through this graduate program you will receive an excellent background, not only in your area of specialization, but also in the general field of chemistry. For this reason our graduates are much in demand and all of our students have been employed either directly upon graduation, or shortly thereafter.
